Meathanger
"I have been fascinated by anatomy be it of human or animal origin. The way the body is and what makes up the body. Using this as a background to excplore ideas using raw meat has been on ongoing idea for many years. The hanging of meat in a butchers shop for example is an amazing sight if you have ever been inside thier biug freezers. The politics of meeat is a very contemporary issue. Once a vergetarian for many years I never lost the meat aesthetic. I have photographed medical operations such as open heart surgery and have used medical images over the years from x rays to micropsopic sources in my multimedia and exhibition works. Meathangers is an extension of ideas from several sources.
